I thought it would be fun to have a weekly quote, but I didn't suggest it for the side bar because I wanted you to comment on them!
So here's my quote for this week, but first the history behind it. I found it years ago, and it has brought me inspiration ever since; you may know that I even have it taped to my bedroom wall.
"You don't die at 80 if you can live to 96"

Brie, awesome idea!! i'm so excited that you guys are coming up with such great ideas!! now kie has the sister stories and you have the quote.. i need to think of something!! Anyway I love it!!!!
ok now for the quote... very inspiring. When I read it I thought it was talking about how most people talk as if 80 is generally the oldest you're ever going to get and even if you live longer your quality of life isn't that great. So that is what most people hold as a goal as far as life span... but why not hope for as long as possible? Why stop at 80 when you could live longer? So to apply this to life in general... i think sometimes we limit ourselves to stopping when we feel we've reached a "finish line". But why let those stop us? Just because we've graduated from school does that mean we don't try and learn anything else? Just because we've earned our personal progress medallion does that mean we stop setting goals and filling our lives with spirituality? No, why stop at the finish line when we can go all the way to something even better and more satisfying?
OK there's my interpretation! I can't wait to see what other quotes you put up Brie!
Awesome quote Brie.. good idea!!! thats a really good one and everything Cassi sid is sooo true.. never really thought about that!! you shouldnt' have an end goal for your life anyways.. he end goal is as long as possible.. if its 80 thats all you'll try for!! good thoughts cass!! yeah im excited for te other quotes! im ure everyone has more potential then they realize.. you can handle more then you will ever know!!
WOW!!!!! Holy Smokes Cassi, I had never even thought of any kind of interpretation to that quote -I was totally kidding - but now I see that it really is quite inspiring, so thank you.
hm wow very deep, very deep! i thought the quote was pretty funny...i guess it's not suppose to be a humorous quote, but i laughed when i read it! haha i saw a pretty simple and obvious interpretation...don't stop if ya don't need to...but cassi and kie put it in a lot more detail and such...haha
really brie? then why do you like it and why does it bring you inspiration?
I was being sarcastic about the inspiration - I had never thought at all about any kind of deeper meaning. It was in a magazine and I thought it was just talking about a person who turned 96 or something. But it's quite inspiring to me now! I guess that's good because all the other quotes I even have are good ones...not silly. Keeps me consistent.
haha that's funny! why do you have it on your wall then?
Because I THOUGHT it was FUNNY!!!!
haha well b, i think if you want it to be funny, you can interpret it however you want...hahaha
haha what a misunderstanding this little quote turned out to be.. and at only a few words ahah.. well it can be deep and humorous.. we all thought brie was showing a different deep side.. i thought it was weird haha!!! eh well ahhaah
