Well I couldn't decide... Little Miss trouble definitely fit when you were Mayli's age but not so much anymore! ;) Little Miss Shy fits but it seems like you're coming out of that a little so I decided you were inbetween Little Miss Shy and Little Miss Fun! Your reserved and polite but always up for going with whoever is going out somewhere and always wanting to play a game, do some karaoke, go shopping or anything other than sitting around or taking a nap. You were also (and probably still are) the only one on Sundays would hates "quiet time"!

Hey all. I was just thinking.... I think that after so many years of seeing Mom with her disease, it is easy to forget what she goes through every day. It just seems normal. What a hero she is for making us believe that.

For a challenge this week, I thought we could just try to show a little extra love and appreciation for Mom. I think she could use it.

CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

ok, i know cassi just posted a quetion, but i don't do posts very often, especially because i have no idea what to say! so i actually thought of something and thought i should post it while i had the idea! :)
we've had sooo many christmas traditions it's crazy!!! there's the christmas-tree cabin with the evans, traditions within the cabin like going to a movie, christmas eve dinner with the evans, acting out the nativity story, getting pj's, writing goals as our gifts, scavenger hunt of some sort, sleeping together, waking up super early, walking in order of age down or up the stairs, eating a huge delicious christmas breakfast, and do we go to a movie? hmmm...well that's all i can think of! i love our traditions i think they bring us together as a family!! :D so what is your favorite?

Ode to Dylan

Ok I thought the results of the poll were very interesting. ALL of us chose Makita! What a sweet dog! Only I apparently liked Tatum and only Kie apparently likes Moki... haha sad! Poor little Buttons... no one liked him!? And he was so devoted to Makita! He just didn't have the best people skills... haha!

But this post is an ode to Dylan. Why? Because I am the only one who really remembers him and poor dog only wanted to play and we were all so scared of him. So here's for Dylan! I hope he had a better life with the boy next door!

Now.. I don't know how accurate my memory is but here's what I remember of our time with Dylan.

One day Dad came home carrying a cardboard box and said he had a surprise for us. We all gathered around excited... hm, this was in Colorado so I must have been like 5 or 6 and Kie was like 3 0r 4? I don't know, you'll have to ask Mom about that. Anyway the box opened and out popped this adorable Beagle puppy! We were so excited!! This was our very first pet! Of course as a puppy he was very energetic and jumped all over us and everything else. It was quickly determined that "Dylan" (name chosen by Mom) would have to live outside. Well he must have always lived outside because the only thing I remember about him after that is trying to swing in the backyard and running away any time he would come near us. And then not wanting to go outside because the dreaded dog was out there. I also remember watching Mary Poppins once and dad decided it was time to let poor Dylan in. He was so excited to come in and jumped right up on the couch where we all were and we all screamed and ran away... needless to say Dylan was shooed back outside! Mom and Dad tried so hard to get us to play with him. Luckily the boy next door had a dog and that dog seemed to get along with our Dylan so when we moved to New Mexico Mom and Dad decided Dylan would be happier next door.

Wow, I hope my kids react better when we get our first dog!

BACK Meeting

I need to call a meeting to make a blog decision. Brian has requested to occasionally post random things. I told him I would have to ask permission. So I'm taking it to you guys. Do you think it would be ok for Brian, Steve, or even mom and dad to make an occasional post or comment, or is this blog strictly limited to the 4 of us?

THe Sluggish Sloth

Ok, me and Brie got to talking about sloths and I started thinking about how fascinating they really are! I remember walking through a zoo in Utah once with Jarrett, the little boy I worked with, and we were in one of those rain forest exhibits. I just remember looking above my head for some reason and there was this creature just hanging about 10 feet above my head staring right at me. It seriously freaked me out and I had no idea what it was but I was sure it wasn't supposed to be out of a cage! Well now they have an exhibit like that at our zoo and they have a "sloth tree" where they have some sloth facts so I thought I would share some with you guys...

Sloths are very slow. They don't move at all unless they have to in order to eat or go to the bathroom and when they do it takes them a whole minute to cover only half a foot! They sleep 15-18 hours a day and only come down to go to the bathroom once a week! In fact they are so lazy that if a baby sloth falls from the mother it will probably die because the mother is unwilling to leave the tree to go find it! (Yeah Brie, I changed my mind when I read that!) Can you imagine being a sloth? Boring!

FUNNY STORY SPOTLIGHT-- Ashlyn Dancing!

I do believe Brie is due for a story but I remembered a random one of Ash and didn't wanna forget it!! I wanna see if anyone else remembers it (we were all there) One day when Ash was like 3 or 4 her and mom stayed home from church cause Ash was sick, When we all got home dinner was ready and mom said that Ashlyn had a surprise for us in the Office! We went to the office and Ash as all dressed up like a little cowgirl (jean skirt and tall cowboy boots) She had super long hair that was usually up or kind of ratty (ya know little kids and long hair) well what I remember most about the story is her hair was completely brushed straight (never was really done perfectly) and it was curled at the bottum.. I remember being so suprised she looked so cute!!.. anyways mom turned on whose bed have your boots been under (I think that was the song might have been a different one) and Ashlyn did a little dance.. mom made it up and taught it to her while we were at church and she got all dressed up and cleaned and ready it was so cute:).. that was more of a cute story.. just wanted to see who else remembers that!!!

Place: Hm, it depends on the amount of time I live there - I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life, or even most of my life, in NYC - but it'd be nice to experience life out in the eastern side of the country, or the southern - where you can have a swamp in your backyard (then again, I think I'd want to experience most places for a little bit, I don't know where I'd want to live for a long time....how could I, I don't know what it's like?)
Childhood: In 2nd grade, I was playing with Shelby Goodman at recess and then she left to go to the bathroom and said she'd be right back. So I waited and waited and waited for an unusually long time till recess lady blew her whistle. (Earlier on I'd thought I'd heard the whistle blow, but I figured I was wrong since Shelby hadn't come back yet!) So I ran over to line up to go back to class, but I didn't see my class -all the kids in my line were not in my class, and they all gave me weird looks! I think I said something to one of them and and found out they were 3rd graders (big ones)!! That's when I quickly ran to my classroom to find my whole class inside in the middle of practicing a poetry presentation of sorts that we were going to do for the parents. To make matters worse, I had missed my turn! I had stayed at recess late, not listened to the whistle, disrupted the poetry practice, AND missed my part. And kids kept telling me that! I felt SO bad. My teacher, however, didn't even ask where I had been; actually, she didn't say a word to me about it! Come to think of it now, it seems like she should have been a little concerned, don't you think? I mean, I was only in 2nd grade, shouldn't she keep tabs on all of her kids? Maybe she knew all along, but then it wouldn't make sense that she let me stay outside instead of getting me. Hmmm...........

also, when i was in kindergarden and i scratched b's arm up on the bus and mrs techovich saw it getting off and made us talk to her, then she came into my class and told mrs. ball what happened, who had to come have her own little talk with me! geeze! that was pretty embarrassing too! SORRY B!!!

Hahahaha... ok here goes... when I was in 2nd grade we used to take these spelling tests and then trade with another student and grade them. Well Sarah my evil friend suggested that we don't really mark any wrong so that we both got all the points and for some reason I agreed. I'm pretty sure I got them all right anyway but she definitely did not which is why she wanted to do it. I felt SO bad that i told another friend and asked her if she would go up with me to tell on Sarah. So we did and Ms Garcia gave us a little lecture and sent us back to our seats. When I got home I didn't tell mom because I thought she would be so mad. I remember every day I would say to myself "I'll tell her when I'm in 5th grade, then it won't matter anymore" I think this lasted for a couple months? Who knows it may have only been a few days but felt like a few months.. haha. Then we were outside taking a walk and it was just me and mom and she told me what a good daughter I was and then I just blurted it all out! It's so funny to think about that now and how scared I was to tell her.
Ok and another quick one... You all know how dad likes to play around. So one day we were being dumb (I was probably 15 or 16) and I threatened to spit on him. He didn't believe me so I thought how funny it would be if I actually did it... so I did... gross! He did not laugh and I felt so so so stupid! Stupid enough that I still feel bad about it!
Although... the laser thing was pretty bad too, I'm not sure I can laugh about that one yet... I mean I actually had the police called on me! Ahh

Yet Another Weekly!

Okay, maybe I'm over-doing the whole weekly thing, but I thought it could be fun to have challenges (weekly or just whenever). Just say no if you don't want to.

This week I just wanted to add to the "funny phrases" challenge. I think we should not only try to say those other words, but completely stop using the word cool till next Tuesday. But of course we'll slip, so I think we should report in the comments how many times we slip. Then, I think we should decide the punishment for the one who slips the most on the comments.

Funny sister story

I remember way back when I was in 5th grade and Cassi was in 7th she had her first boyfriend Stuart Crewse!! Well I remember reading some paper that was on the counter and I turned it around and there was a note.. I didn't read it all because it wasn't mine and that's rude but I was just reading a little to see what it was and it was something Cassi wrote to mom saying "I held his hand it that ok" haha.. for some reason its so funny now.. you were always open with mom.. and its funny how at the time holding hands seemed so bad to you!!!!..

Funny Phrases

Okay, so in choir we sang this song called "The Common Cold". It's kind of a goofy song about someone who has a really bad cold. The humor is in the words though. There's one part toward the end that says, "A common cold gadzooks forsooth!". So my question is, what happened to words and phrases like that? Why do we only say boring things like wow, or cool? I miss the days where they used creative words! Now it's all lazy and rotten language! What is this world coming to? haha :P

Muay Thia

well one of our sisters (B!) likes to pretend she likes fighting... but last night I saw the true B!.. she's.. A DANCER!!!! yup she misses ballet.. an pleeayin (whatever the spelling) she saw this lovely solo and she claimed he could do the exact dance.. (we are talking college level dancers here) and she insisted on making fun of pretty much every dance we saw.. can you say jealousy?? I thought the other sisters would like to know this!!!! pretty big deal!!! SO since I have made the discovery of B!'s secret passion I would like to know what my other sisters secret sport dreams would be.. if you could be any type of "athlete"... ANY at all!!! off the top of my head I think figure skating would be cool.. although its def something to think about!!...let me know

Women's Restroom

Quick question..... I went to the restroom at school the other day - the women's restroom of course - and I needed to change my clothes, so I went in the handicapped stall for the extra space (I had never looked inside this stall before, though I had used that particular restroom several times before), and much to my surprise and confusion, there was a urinal in the stall along with a toilet. So my question is, why on earth is there a urinal in the women's restroom??! Handicapped women are still women - they can't use a urinal!! And yes, I double-checked to see if it was the women's room, and there were other things in it that showed that it is undoubtedly a women's restroom. Hmmm......

Ok sisters... this is going to be a fun blog where we can just be silly and stupid!!

So I'll start us off....

Pajama Pants

Ok I love pajama pants! Isn't is weird in all the movies that you never see any of the girls wearing pajama pants? They are always wearing silky night gowns or weird pajama outfit things! What is with that? All the people I have ever had slumber parties with have always worn pajama pants. Don't you think it would be weird to sleep in a dress? Especially a silky dress that you'd be slipping around in all night! Weird!

Ok that's my thought of the day! It's short but it's all I have time for right now! Now what is your favorite kind of pajama pants???
